Pearl Aovare

Pearl Aovare is a public health professional with a Masters degree from the University of Ghana. With over five years of extensive experience in health and public health research in various capacities within both government and non-governmental organizations. Actively contributed to impactful projects, including Project Fives Alive, Making Every Baby Count Initiative (MEBCI) and the Meals4NCDs project.
She also served as a Program Coordinator for the Smart Empowered Community Health Care Programme (SECC), funded by The Philips and Africa eHealth Foundation in the Netherlands. The project aimed to enhance the health of individuals facing diabetes and hypertension by leveraging mobile Health technology to enhance the management of diabetes and hypertension.
She is currently in her final year of Ph.D. Program with the University of Amsterdam, Medical Center, Netherlands. Her research involves utilizing an existing interactive smartphone application, the Afya Pro connected care app, for the management of diabetes and hypertension in Ghana.
